- London Community Pride consults community organisations as part of its bid
- Bid includes commitment to open meeting in early 2013
- Seeking volunteers to register interest to help deliver a world class Pride in London
This meeting is focused on leaders
of community groups representing the broadest possible spectrum of the LGBT community.
LCP is committed to holding an open public meeting in early 2013 if its bid is successful.
www.LondonCommunityPride.org has discussion forums that are already live and LCP also has
a Facebook page (/LondonCommunityPride) and is on Twitter @londoncommpride. LCP
looks forward to hearing from anyone with ideas about the future of Pride and how
it should be organised in future years.
LCP today also calls for volunteers to register
their interest in helping plan and deliver a worldclass Pride for London that will
be a beacon to the world. If LCP's bid is successful, a wide range of roles have
already been identified which will need to be filled urgently in 2013 from liaison
with local businesses in the run up to Pride Day, managing LCP’s social media presence,
to the all important task of stewarding the event on the day.
LCP welcomes all applications
and anyone who is interested should email LCP with their contact details using volunteer@londoncommunitypride.org (please no CVs).
