LLGFF Review Cloudburst (capsule review)

This is a capsule review of Cloudburst due to the upcoming mainstream release later this year

Filmed in Canada with quite a sublime backdrop of mountains, lakes and beautiful villages, this is one of the best lesbian films I've seen in some time (with the exception of Kiss Me - another LLGFF film that is also quite amazing) and I highly recommend you catch this feature, either at the festival, or on DVD when it gets released later this year if you can't get tickets.

Featuring Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker, this film certainly has some great names attached to it as well as an amazing soundtrack including some KD Lang.

This film tells a story that we all know too well could be a problem, but that we hope would not be - what to do if you and your partner live together but not having to legal support of marriage to keep you together. This film covers the later years of Stella and Dotty, a lesbian couple living together in North America.

You'll fall in love with Stella and Dotty, and it is a story that draws you in from the very beginning.
