We
have to admit that we were surprised to find out that there was no dedicated
website for the women's scene in Brighton. We just always made the
assumption that there was. After receiving yet another Brighton listing with
the request of promoting it on Planet London (our sister site); we decided to
take action!
We
have been looking at where to open a second location, building on the huge
success of our first, Planet London. Since we started in 2011, we have seen a
lot of changes in the community within London, and with the events on offer;
and there is a lot more choice now and event organisers are running successful
nights for longer.
The
front end of our website is where you find the community content, including the
all important events calendar - this is the linchpin and what holds the
community together. Around that are features, reviews, competitions, and so
much more.
We
also have an App which you can use on the go to find out what is on where; as
well as catching up on the content. This contains both Brighton and London
information so you can be a woman of two cities and maximise your social scene;
making the best of both locations.
Behind
the scenes we are hoping to take our wealth of experience and knowledge and
bring it to Brighton. We have a whole host of event support packages available
from suppliers, to design, to marketing support and even sponsorship events. So
if you have been sitting at home in Brighton or Hove thinking about running
something, but were worried about how to promote it and reach the women of
Brighton - get in touch as we can help!
We
do hope you like this website. Please do tell your friends as our success will
depend on the lesbian, bi and queer women of Brighton using our site. We do
believe that Brighton will take on a slightly different format to London. We
see the website as needing to meet the individual needs of the area; which will
